Who Should Join VCIA?
Today’s highly competitive business world demands that companies, large and small, continually examine ways in which they manage their risk. Changing needs, cost control, and loss prevention are among the considerations which factor into decisions regarding alternatives to traditional insurance.

The Vermont Captive Insurance Association is the largest trade association for captive insurance Open in a new window in the world.

Established in 1985, the Association has grown to provide lobbying support on both the state and federal levels for its 522+ member companies.

In addition, it hosts and supports professional education opportunities for the industry at large.

VCIA provides top notch professional education Open in a new window to both members of the Association and industry participants outside the Association. Our educational seminars feature hot topics relevant to today’s most pressing issues, and are taught by captive experts at the forefront of the industry. Seminars are held throughout the year in Burlington, Vermont and are also available via audio-conference.

Participants who attend VCIA Educational Seminars Open in a new window in person or via audio-conference are eligible for CPE (Continuing Professional Education) and CLE (Continuing Legal Education) credits.

VCIA Open in a new window also takes great pride in its founding role with the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE). This organization, now a separate 501(c)(3) organization, provides the only comprehensive professional education for captive insurance professionals.

08/12/2008 Annual Golf Tournament Open in a new window

Sponsor to be announced Open in a new window - 7:30 am and 1:00 pm tee times. Reservations are required. Plan to arrive at the course one hour before scheduled tee time. No shuttle service will be provided to the Golf Tournament location. For the 7:30 am tee time, lunch will be available after 12:30 pm; for the 1:00 pm tee time, lunch will be available at 11:30 am.
