VCIA provides top notch professional education Open in a new window to both members of the Association and industry participants outside the Association. Our educational seminars feature hot topics relevant to today’s most pressing issues, and are taught by captive experts at the forefront of the industry. Seminars are held throughout the year in Burlington, Vermont and are also available via audio-conference.

Participants who attend VCIA Educational Seminars Open in a new window in person or via audio-conference are eligible for CPE (Continuing Professional Education) and CLE (Continuing Legal Education) credits.

VCIA Open in a new window also takes great pride in its founding role with the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE). This organization, now a separate 501(c)(3) organization, provides the only comprehensive professional education for captive insurance professionals.

Since 1988, we have worked with our insurance clients to create integrated investment strategies, linking their financial goals with current capital market opportunities.

Prior to founding Prime, Duane Open in a new window was at Seattle-Northwest Securities.

He also managed the Municipal Bond Department at U.S. Bank in Portland, Oregon where he had overall responsibility for trading and underwriting Open in a new window .

During his tenure, the bank’s bond trading earnings were consistently at record levels.

Along with Vince Rowland, Duane developed the theory of Dynamic Cash Flow Open in a new window Risk Reward AnalysisSM, and the return on surplus portfolio analysis methodology for insurance company portfolios.
